Practitioner Barnitta Moses

Mrs. Barnitta Latricia Moses is a Baltimore native. At 12 years of age she decided she wanted to become a nurse. She graduated from Edmondson High School and then attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1988. However, she felt limited by the scope of practice of the LPN and decided to attend Union Memorial's Registered Nurse program. She graduated from that program in 1995.

Mrs Moses then worked in a variety of settings including medical surgery and oncology. She was supervisor and triage nurse at Bons Secours outpatient clinic. She has worked at many area hospitals including Sinai, University of Maryland, Maryland General and Franklin Square. Before joining our practice, she spent 10 years at Mercy Medical Center working in the Mother/ Baby Unit. Because of her extensive work experience Mrs Moses has a vast medical knowledge and her obstetrical and nursery experience particularly enhance her ability to work with new mothers and their newborns.

During her time at Mercy Hospital, Mrs Moses decided that she wanted to have a larger part in the plan of care for her patients and she decided to enter the advanced practice arena. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Maryland in 2007. She earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 2009 with a certification in Advance Practice Nursing in Pediatric Primary Care.

Mrs Moses has been practicing as a pediatric nurse practitioner since 2009. She is board certified and is very excited to be able to decide and initiate treatments that she feels best suit her patients and their unique health concerns.

Mrs Moses is married to Mannie Moses, a minister of the Gospel. She has two daughters, Jennifer Gayle Butler and Janine Latrice Moses. Her pets include 3 dogs and 2 cats. Her oldest daughter is engaged and works as a Quality Assurance Manager for Chimes, Inc. Her youngest daughter is currently training to become a Veterinary Technician. Mrs. Moses interests include attending church with her family, skating, bowling, and spending quality time with her family.
